A personal perspective
Black Bag was my first short film, made in 2016. The script was written for a 30-minute film, which, as a first-time filmmaker with absolutely no experience on a film set, was a pretty tough introduction to the reality of filmmaking. Looking back, it is almost a miracle that we managed to get the film finished at all. Even so, I always look back on that time with a lot of fondness. It was where everything began. Those six weeks of hard work taught me an incredible amount. I learned by doing, made plenty of mistakes, and gained a great deal of practical knowledge along the way. Black Bag was eventually screened at a film festival in South Korea. For my very first film, that was something I was extremely proud of.
